When you bought Windows XP OEM, they add their logo and icon in the Windows Start Menu and that link menu cannot be removed.
To delete the OEM link or logo:
- Right click on the Windows Start Menu and click on “Properties”.
- Choose the Start Menu tab, click the “Customize” button then click on the “Advanced” tab.
- From the Start Menu item list, uncheck the “Manufacturer Link” in the list.
- Click OK.
The OEM logo or link should now disappear from your Windows Start Menu.
